Great Dogs Training Policies
Weather: Classes and/or
individual lessons are cancelled in the event of medium to heavy
rain and thunder and lighting. Classes are held in light rain, or
snow, and if there is snow on the ground. Why?
For the practical application of obedience! Your dog needs to
be obedience-ready no matter what the situation or environment!
Lesson times: Please arrive
for your lesson at least five minutes ahead of time. As a courtesy
to any other student that may be there please leave your dog in the
car, or walk your dog away from the training field until it is your turn, unless otherwise notified.
Why? The dog having its lesson before
your dog may be working on behavioral issues where an added
distraction may be bothersome.
Private Lesson Cancellation and/or
absence: All Great Dogs clients in a private program are
expected to complete their private program in no more than 12 weeks
from the start date. Any client based cancellation without one
week's notice and without an immediate reschedule within one week
constitutes a forfeited lesson. Pre-approved amendments to
this must be made in advance with the trainer. The trainer reserves
the right to reschedule lessons.
Group Classes Absences: There
are no make-ups for class absences. Clients are expected to make
every lesson. Pre-approved amendments to this must be made in
advance with the trainer.
Your Commitment to Training:
It is expected that every client will work with their dog a minimum
of three times per day for approximately 15 minutes on the various
obedience skills and exercises as described and taught within your
weekly lessons. The success of your program is wholly dependent on
you!
