*Introduce your puppy to the fun of
obedience training! *Please
register your puppy through the Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation at
540-984-3030
This is a "Puppy Primer" featuring a unique combination of
obedience, agility and socialization to create a holistic positive
approach to "baby dog" training. Each class features dog and human
socialization exercises and games to enhance your puppy's educational
experience. And, if the weather is nice we go outside for a training walk!
Each class is 6 weeks long. Pick one session to attend.
Class Curriculum:
Behavioral needs/skills addressed in class:
potty training, handling, grooming, crate training, chewing, nipping,
jumping
Skills taught: Clicker, sit, down,
place, wait, leave-it, drop-it, walking nicely on the leash, come when
called using a leash, and agility tunnel
Socialization: Games during class, plus
playtime afterwards |

Pre-Reqs: |
Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old, and have had at least the
second series of shots. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis
depending on the breed of dog. |

Learn basic obedience skills with your
dog, plus enjoy socialization time with other dogs (and people!) after
class.

This is a Basic Introductory Obedience course featuring a small
class size for more personalized attention from the trainer.
Class Curriculum: Clicker, sit, down,
stay/place, wait, heeling, come when called, leave-it, drop-it,
no-jumping--PLUS work these skills in practical exercises. If the weather
is nice we go outside for a training walk! Each class is 6 weeks long.
Pick one session to attend. Opportunity for
advanced skills such as "down from a distance," "drop on recall", and
front and finish available in BASIC OBEDIENCE II Class. |

Pre-Reqs: |
Dogs must be 6 months of age, and current on all shots. Aggressive dogs
not permitted in Basic 1 class. |

PRIVATE OBEDIENCE TRAINING PROGRAMS ALWAYS AVAILABLE. WE SPECIALIZE IN
RELIABLE OFF-LEASH TRAINING.
